PREVENTION OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT & WOMEN EMPOWERMENT CELL – DHAARINI
PREVENTION, PROHIBITION AND REDRESSAL OF SEXUAL HARRASSMENT; EMPOWERMENT INCLUDES THE ACTION OF RAISING THE STATUS OF WOMEN THROUGH EDUCATION, RAISING AWARENESS, LITERACY AND TRAINING. TO MAKE LIFE DETEERMING DECISIONS TO FACE VARIOUS PROBLEMS OF SOCIETY.
Objectives
- To create a help line to report sexual harassment.
- To develop principles and procedures for combating sexual harassment.
- To organize gender sensitization awareness programmes.
- Identification of strong leader ship and building their capacity.
- To promote a culture of respect and equality for female gender.
- To conduct seminar, workshop to impart knowledge of opportunities and tools available and train the women.
- To inculcate entrepreneurial attitude among young girls, so that they can be “job givers” rather than “job takers”
- Monitoring college campus, classes and corridors through security and CCTv surveillance 24×7
- To give swift and effective response to complaints.
- By providing equal opportunities in every field.
- By conducting various training programs to equip their skills.
- Creating awareness about women empowerment and educating them that domestic violence is a crime.
