Our college has a distinct identity in the academicia. The vision-mission statements clearly state our goals and ambition to serve the needs of the underprivileged students of the society. The composition of the students in college is very diverse. They come from a cross section of the society and most of them are working professionals. They work to fulfil many urgent needs of their family. Commitments are huge and their salaries support their homes. But their ambition to acquire an education is high and very determined. The faculty support this in a very pro-active manner. There are various committees, cells and departments which organize various programmes, academic interactions, field trips and educational tours which benefit the students largely.

Service is a motto which underlies every venture of the college. From the staff, alumni, philanthrophers, many come forward to address the needs of the students either physically, financially or emotionally. The students are largely satisfied with this and they respond in a very pro-active manner by coming forward to help their friends. Many recommend the needy students to jobs known to them; some teach the interested students computer skills and programs; they form groups to study and help to exchange the lectures conducted in college; A group of students counsel school children on further course of study, tips to manage time, multi-tasking methods and study tips.
